This bike was built using a '79 Special as the starting point.

As with all of our bikes...after detailed determinations were conducted regarding the condition of the engine and how well it ran the bike was completely dismantled and we set about doing the various modifications needed for the end result. These included a complete re-build of the motor with pistons, rings and all new seals & gaskets throughout.

This is another in our line of TRACKABOB builds and we decided on the name "KAWABUNGA" because we were in a surfer frame of mind here in the dead of winter in Washington.


We used a lot of custom made bits on this one as well as some of the original parts that were in good enough shape to make the grade.
